This book provides clear information about ovarian cancer treatments and survival prospects - in more blunt terms than one finds on the various medical websites. But except for the blunt presentation, it provides no information that can’t be gleaned from those websites. And the “survivorship” advice doesn’t pretend to give information on how a woman who has ovarian cancer can prolong her life. Instead, it lectures the reader on maintaining a positive attitude in order to enjoy the time left and not be a drag on her doctors or family. No doubt good advice for life in general, but it is conveyed in a condescending manner and not at all helpful in terms of how to actually survive. Definitely not worth the price.
